Obstacles within the European projects focused on introducing supervision into the institutional care facilities
Odstrčil, David ; Havrdová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Kabíček, Jakub (referee)
This diploma thesis focuses on examining the process of introduction of supervision as an effective tool for improving the work quality at the institutional care facilities. More specifically it inquires the process when the supervisor enters the working field as ,,pre- selected'' through the ,,external'' European projects. The research issues are examined from the point of view of the supervisors, at the basis of questioning their opinions and experience. This paper describes how the supervisors perceive the status quo from their own position. This survey consists of two interconnected parts. The first, theoretical part comprises the chapters describing the organisational culture, supervision, institutional facilities and the European projects. The second, empirical part defines the research issues, determines the methodology and the research structure. The research is made by the qualitative approach, when the data are collected through in-depth semi-structured interview, analysed by the method of an opened coding and the constant comparison technique. The results of the analysis consists of five following categories: entering: the supervisor enters the organisation ,,sideways''; place: the supervisor meets the organisation of ,,machine''; effects: the supervisor experiences the consequences of...

Organisational Structures and Forms of Collective Action in Civil Sector Organisations. Case Study Czech Forum for Development Cooperation.
Vraštilová, Klára ; Šťovíčková Jantulová, Magdaléna (advisor) ; Antošová, Petra (referee)
Networking of civil society organizations has been occurring in the Czech civic sector for several years. Since the nineties a number of new networks has emerged or extended their membership base. Networks can be examined diversely. This work is focused principally on the network internal operations. The aim of this work is to show the forms of organizational structure and collective action on the example of the Czech Forum for Development Cooperation (FoRS). The operational objective is to determine whether the examined internal form of network has an effect on the achievement of its objectives. The hypothesis that the centralised and hierarchical forms of network achieve more likely their objectives was confirmed in this case. The analysis also revealed that the network FoRS acts as a "consensus- based organization". This type of structure has typically sparse network of interactions, weakly shared collective identity and the absence of conflicting orientation towards a defined enemy.

Možnosti využití metody objektově orientovaného programovaní v organizační architektuře podniků
Martinez, Felipe ; Malý, Milan (advisor) ; Fotr, Jiří (referee) ; Kubátová, Jaroslava (referee)
The procedures to establish organisational structure are the focal subject of this study. The review of literature and research components of this dissertation identify that there is lack of procedures, processes, and working guidelines to facilitate this managerial task. The creation of any of these procedures is inherently complex as is the intended organisational structure to create. Organisational theories present several models. They identify and discuss primary organisational elements but fail to propose adequate methods for structuration. The doctoral candidate confronts this void to both practitioners and academicians by means of two approaches. Firstly, it proposes a procedure to institute organisational structure founded on the Object-Oriented paradigm. Secondly, it compares and contrasts this procedure with existing processes deployed by managers, entrepreneurs, and expert-consultants. The presentation of this procedure includes a fundamental analogy for its creation; the paradigm selection and explanation (Object-Oriented); a detailled 'step by step' guide for successful implementation and concrete applications of the procedure. The review in this area is extensive and promotes analyses that are both practical as well as theoretical. This assessment promotes and develops a research based on organisational structuring experiences. It uses quantitative and qualitative tools to collect the data. The data are discrete. Various techniques are employed to illustrate findings. Bar graphs with distributions curves represent the data. The graphical and statistical analyses argue the existence of a general procedure to set up the organisational structure. In addition, the research compares the general and proposed procedures. It uses descriptive and graphical tools for the comparison. The findings corroborate the proposed procedure as a valid method to implement organisational structure. The resulting hypotheses derived from the research problem and formulated research questions are validated. This unlocks the opportunity to formally use the procedure as appropriate guidelines for structuring. It equally demonstrates the use of paradigms borrowed from other disciplines within organisational design. Additionally, the procedural knowledge is formally transferable through university course material and lectures. The benefit of the dissertation is the inclusion of the Object-Oriented paradigm within the discipline of organisational design. In doing so, it eliminates the void in this domain and offers both academicians and managers further areas of research.
The management of a PR agency
KONOPKOVÁ, Adéla
The primary objective of the thesis is to analyze the operation and management of the AC&C Public Relations agency and suggest changes possibly leading to higher efficiency. Within the thesis itself, I have mostly focused on the current organisational structure of the agency which I have selected to be the principal problem of its recent operation and source of potential future risks. The theoretical part based mainly on specialized publications supplemented by my own experience, explains the meaning of Public Relations as such and describes the principles of organization and management of small-sized companies including Czech PR agencies. In the second part, the current situation and ways of management at the AC&C Public Relations agency are analyzed and reviewed. The theoretical methods involve the use of SWOT analysis and qualitative reserch. The third part aims at suggesting specific changes possibly useful in making the current operation of the agency more efficient. Therein, the most specific points of management and work of a PR agency are explained. The final chapter deals with the influence of the contemporary financial recession on the operations of the agency and includes suggestions for coping with a period of the kind.
